Personal.

I am a Canadian citizen, born and raised in Ontario.  In 2002 I married Jennifer, and we have three children: William, Samuel and Juniper.  I consider myself a traditional Christian and we are members of the Anglican Church, though we have attended a wide variety of other denominations.  Outside of academics, I am an award-winning trumpet player and have toured around North America with various musical groups.  I am nearly certified as a carpenter, and enjoy fine woodworking and furniture making.  Before becoming a father, I often went running, cycling and canoeing.

James 1:17.  This research, on a possible primitive corruption in the text of James 1:17, was presented at the annual meeting of the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies in 2012, and is currently being revised for submission for publication.

Title Creep.  This research, on the scribal phenomenon of divine title expansion, has been presented at the meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature in 2011.  The results were partially published in No Longer Written (2013), and the complete study is currently being prepared for submission for publication.
